Bible Memory Description and Rules

(for those who choose to memorize all the scriptures listed)

 

Bible Bowl

See verses listed above for each grade level.  The list can be printed from pdf files found in the button at the right.

Students will be divided into groups of 3 - 5 contestants and seated around a table. A handkerchief will be placed in the center of the table.

Students must have one hand in lap. The other will be on the table with thumb wrapped around the edge of the table.

The Moderator will ask a question to which the student will answer with the complete verse from the Bible Memory Verses that adequately answers that question.

Questions may be asked in the form of: (sample)
   •    Keywords (Charity... Answer: Charity suffers long and is kind...)
   •    Phrase (But the greatest of these... Answer: Now abideth faith, hope, charity...)
   •    Question (What is faith?... Answer: Now faith is the substance...)
   •    Scripture reference (1 Peter 3:8...Answer: Finally, be ye all of one mind...)

The first student to know the answer and grab the handkerchief, will be given 10 seconds to begin reciting the verse that answers the question.

Students may grab the handkerchief as soon as they know the answer, however, when the handkerchief is grabbed, the student must give their answer, even if the moderator has not completed the question.

Students must answer with the complete verse with no more than two words transposed or skipped.
Once the student begins to recite the verse, he/she may only restart one time.

2pts = Correct answer
-1pt = Incorrect answer or failure to start within 10 seconds

The student with the most points at the end of each round will advance to the final round. 1St, 2nd, & 3rd place will be awarded based on points from the final round.

The menu will be added as soon as possible afterwards.  Then you can click menu button to see how

you can help with the food. This year, the plan is to have frozen dishes brought.  There will be a sign up sheet for the items needed.

​Parent's Responsibilities:​

 

 

Please be sure your student fulfills each category that they have signed  up for!

It makes it very hard to juggle the schedule at the last minute.

​

On the registration form is a list and a place for each parent to help with the responsibilities of the weekend.

​

Each family will need to bring their own bedding, toiletries, bikes, balls, gloves, skates, ect.          

 

And bring something to help with the meals - be sure to go to the MENU page to sign up!
